Hi All,

Thanks and Regards

Here is gal assembler software.
I don't think it is available on the net.

Re: How to start GAL

Gals will never go obsolete.
I do not know where you get that information.

Re: How to start GAL

Hi

GALs are now being replaced by CPLDs.
High-end applications use FPGAs.

Re: How to start GAL

Gals are as small as 8 macrocells.Cpld's are for complex design, and would be complete overkill,if all you needed was to decode a bus,for example.
I know for a fact that gals are not in the process of becoming obsolete,
as our company uses +/- 200 gals/day at present.
The supplier has never raised concern of supply.
