stripline ground interconection

Dear all,

I wonder if I have to make any kind of connection btwn ground planes for microstrip structures.

I built the structure and it is VERY different from simulated one. I only put some conductive screws working as throug holes on the border of the pcb.

Also, I don't know if the way the structure is fed (transition btwn connector-pcb) is TOO important.

Any suggestion?
