Strange font in the frame when launching Mathlab 6.5 on PC

mathlab problems?

I execute the mathlab 6.5 version in my PC.
But, there is a strange font appearing in the frame.

I have tried to change the setting of font, but useless.
Does anyone know it?

I had this problem too. I guess the problem is with vga card not with the matlab.
When this happened i wait for a while until the display is clear.

What is your computer?
Mine is PII 288MB vga riva tnt 32MB.
Now I use matlab 7. Never meet this problem except slower when start

some cannot copy, may I have better solution?

Maybe you can first try some old version of Matlab...

Or purchase one new machine first.
