I would like to sample a digital signal at each clock and to save it in a file for analyzing it in Matlab. Does a simple model exists in a standard lib or do I have to make a hdl model?

Making a hdl model is not difficult.

Do you have a template for such a hdl block?

You can use Sample function in the calculator for sampling, then print the results and copy to a file.

There is also some Ocean function for that which does sampling and writes results directly to a file, but I do not remember the name (ocn**). If you try to sample lots of data using calculator, Cadence will complain, truncate the sampling sequence to some allowed length, but will write the name of that function.

Hi,
You could refer to the following post.
