Hi everyone! So I am designing a boost converter for which I am using STM-32 as a source of PWM signal. I have connected FTDI Module with it. i also have another module LM7805 connected regulates 12V to 5V). Is it ok to short the 5V output with FTDI's 5V pin and STM-32's 5V pin?
I have attached a snippet from the schematic below
When I was using LM7805 and FTDI Module with ATMega IC, I did not connect the ATMega 5V with FTDI's 5V. (It was only connected to 5V regulated by LM7805.

Hi,

The schematic is not complete.
We don't know the 5V wiring of the FTDI.

If it is connected to USB_5V ... then I don't recomment it.
You may use a BAT54C to "join" two independent supply voltages to supply a common circuit.
