Stepper motor Driver with Step-Up converter

Dear All,

I will design a step motor driver with TI ic's. I will going to use 12V power supply. but leadshine step motor need 48V. If I make a board with step up converter. Is it suitable or not?

Please make me suggestions.

Hi,

do you have another option?
I don´t see any as long as you insist on 12V supply and this motor.

BTW:
A stepper should be current driven, therefore the motor voltage will adjust.
If you don´t need full speed or don´t need full torque you may use reduced supply voltage.
