Standard which describes CDROM format

hello guys,

I need to learn everything about cdrom and cd i.e. file system in cd, interfacing technique of cdrom, burning data into cdrom,.

I have to save some database on cd and access those data as requried. CDROM is interface using 8051 based uc, lcd and keypad.

Please help me by related links and documents..your help is required to complete my final year project.
