Hi sir/madam,
how to create a new component footprint. For ex: Ft232rl ic it is a ssop package. How i wanna create footprint for this.

hi pavan,
1.create the Pad using Pad Designer;{Pad size is 1.47mmx0.3mm or else convert in mils 58 milx12 mil}
2.open the cadence allegro-->file-->new-->package symbol {select} then save footprint name as ssop-28pin
3.assign the path of library using setup-->user preference-->path-->library then select the pin, using Logic-->pin
4.keep one by one in Pitch 0.65mm
6.draw assembly,silkscreen,Place Bound Top and orientation of First Pin and assign the Height of the Package using setup-->area-->Package Height
