Speed of a signal and impedance

I have a question on the speed of signal and impedance of the trace. Please have a look in attachment.

There should be 12 instead of 83.
You apparently confuse a lot. 12 appears in the denominator, 83 in the numerator. Quoting formulas from a book without derivation is almost useless. I can just guess that 1000/12 = 83.3
