i want to estimate the speed of a dc motor ...can anybody plse clarify my doubts ???..
*how we can easily estimate the speed of a dc motor
*what are the advantages of a estimating the speed of a dc motor
*what are the methos to estimate the speed of a dc motor...

Hello,

Speed estimation can be done based on voltage applied to and current through the motor. The EMF generated inside the motor is proportional to RPM and static magnetic field.

You can "measure" this EMF based on supply voltage minus voltage due to copper resistance. So you should know the relation between EMF en RPM (measurement or datasheet) and the winding resistance (measurement or datasheet). You have to measure voltage and current.
