I've designed and built a RF amplifier with matching stubs. The gain pattern is hundreds of MHz out from the simulation. I'm not sure whether this can be caused by an unstable amplifier, but I would like to check for oscillation either way - it is something I should know. How do I use a spectrum analyzer to see whether oscillation is occurring?
