Specific FFT application
Can someone describe, or point me to literature that describes the specific FFT usage for dynamic balance measurement, such as used on aircraft propeller balancers? Such instruments take low-level signals from an accelerometer and a 1-per-revolution strobe, and report the degree of imbalance in velocity and the phase in degrees.
Techies I've talked to are more familiar with the traditional "spectrum analysis" application of FFT's, but are completely unfamiliar with mechanical vibration FFT application.
