im really just trying to understand what this board is? i dont really understand what it can do. What is it used for? Heres what they look like by the way. **broken link removed**
 

A buck regulator converts the input voltage to a lower voltage.

A boost regulator converts the input voltage to a higher voltage.

A buck-boost regulator converts the input voltage to a higher or lower input voltage.
