As I mentioned before i would like to start studying RTOS.

I am familiar with Mcs 51 family and I would like to know if it is possible to develop on my own an RTOS for a small system based on a 8051 for example!

Can anyone help me with some ideas or links or anything...
Respect!

You can look for open source RTOS here:
https://www.freertos.org/

If you are interested in RTOS theory, you can download the book
("Real-time Systems: Specification, Verification and Analysis edited by Prof. Mathai Joseph (2.01 MB zipped)" from:

And also have a look at this page, there are a lot of useful references:

You can found some handon information on embedded systems and RTOS from a workshop "Workshop on Distributed Laboratory Instrumentation Systems" at the international centre for theoretical physics website

https://www.ictp.it

On the site, click "calendar". On this page you will see the link
"query the ICTP Agenda/Archives of ICTP activities"
Here you search for the workshop for last year. The lecture notes are online.

Hope this will be of help.
