Some advice for 32 bit MCU beginners

Hai All
I want to learn the use of 32 bit MCU's like ARM or any similer.
Dont know anything about that in detail.
Is it practical to such MCU's on a hobby level or a small scale industry level?
Which are the low cost trainig modules or target boards available for that purpose?

Will any " Sampling" technique for chips will work out for this?

The best way to learn 32 ARM mcu is via building a project

Go to Olimex site : www.olimex.com and order a working board for the LPC2106

ARM chip + Wiggler {ARM ICE interface} {cost ~ $ 100 or less}

Go to www.rowley.co.uk site and Download "crossworks for ARM " evaluation

software install and run it

The rowley software is the only IDE I know beside the GCC who support low cost wiggler

You can also use GCC C compiler for arm but i have no expiriance with it.

you can builde your own wiggler if you like sch.diag you can find in "leon heller" site : www.geocities.com/leon_heller

you mean a 32-bit micro core on an FPGA, right?

is that as good as working with a 32-bit micro like one of the LPC series of phillips?

yes, that's what I mean. "Is that as good" depends on what you are looking for... it's good in terms of flexibility, but may not be as fast depending on the FPGA and the ARM processor you are comparing to. What are your requirements?

I think, you ought read some matter on the computer architecture, and then start a project such as the nnARM, experience the theory into the practice.
