heya frdnz,
i want a circuit which gives me +5 volts ouput if input voltage is +8 volts and 0 (zero) volts ouput if input voltage is even slightly lower than +8 volts (maybe at 7.8 volts).

low voltage detector

You can do it with a typical opamp as voltage comparator.
