Soldering tip and heater element ?

Guys,

Does soldering tip from different brand but same size will break my heater element ?

Any knowledges will be appreciated,

No, it just transfer the heat. You can use any brand which has the same size. If the material of the tips are the same it will give same heat transfer and corrosion. But If the material of the tips are not the same the characteristic will differs, no damage to the heater.
 

WARNING! - just check the tip does not have a magnet bonded to it. Some soldering irons use the Curie effect to regulate their temperature, basically a magnet bonded to the heater end of the tip that pulls a power switch to the on position. When the magnet heats up it loses it's 'pull' and lets a spring return the switch to the off position. It allows the tip itself to regulate the temperature. If you replace a tip with a magnet for one without it, the iron will not work. They are obvious to see and usually have a number stamped on them to indicate the temperature range.

If it isn't a magnetic tip, any that fits should be OK.

From I can see my original tip is not magnetic, you're talking about the bit right ?
 

I don't think that the question has a meaningful answer without referring to the exact tool manufacturer and type.

I know various models that need an exact matching of soldering tip, besides the mentioned Weller curie point type. There are massive tips with different diameter, hollow tips, tips with a specific sensor interface, different fixing systems etc.
 

I used micron as a heater and hakko solder tip.....it has the same size ....will the tip make my heater burn ?
