Guys,

Is it possible for soldering with common grease for car, replacing my flux ?

thanks

This is good for soldering bigger copper parts or to solder two different alloys together. For electronics and soldering PCB parts use flux.

Universal soldering grease:

Sodlering with flux:

There are several categories of soldering fluxes:
- Acid Flux (or commonly known fluxes: Zinc chloride, hydrochloric, ammoniac)
- Organic Flux
- Rosin Flux

probably not. grease and flux have different purposes. Car grease is a lubricant and flux chemically cleans a surface for good bond. Grease will make soldering harder since it will probably burn and resist flow of solder. And who knows what effect it will have on the solder bond itself. The grease listed by other user is actually a flux in gel form and not normal "grease".

Soldering grease also can do the job, but its not good, there is many reasons, one of reasons is high part corrosions and mess on PCB which require good cleaning. Additional flux give easier and better conduction of heat.

Soldering grease is not the same as car grease. Don't use motor oil for sauteeing vegetables either.

I hope he means on soldering grease and not for grease for ball bearings :

Soldering grease is used at heavy duty and for bigger soldering areas, cars, gutters, higher diameter copper wires/pipes,....

I didnt hear for soldering with grease for lubricating purpose.

But all is possible, this world go to ambys why not to try
