softcore and rtos for embedded webserver

Can someone suggest a working combination for a softcore and rtos to be used as a embedded webserver?
The softcore should be small (e.g. smaller than Microblaze) and the rtos should fit the small cpu (e.g. uCLinux will not be my choice). And both should be open or at least free.
I was looking at zpu in combination with eCos - but I cannot find any documentation or tutorial, that shows and proofs ethernet is working in a real project. The target fpga is a Spartan 3A.

Thanks

You can use Microblaze and lwip directly or use Microblaze with uCOS-II and LwIP or uC/TCP-IP.
