SMPS Zentith ZPS-300A

Hi,

I have substituted the Schottky diode on this SMPS because they were shorted.

When I start the SMPS it takes approximately 30seconds for the output voltages to appear correctly. I have no load on the outputs, but when I measure the outputs with my multimeter it starts to show “floating” values, then it stabilizes on the correct values.

The output should stabilize immediately?

Thanks in advance,
Bruno

Re: SMPS Zentith ZPS-300A

Hi,

I have looked at the waveforms with a scopemeter and I can not see any logic in shape of the waves. After it stabilizes it has a constant format.

My big doubt is if it is normal in SMPS to have these instabilities at start?

Regards,
Bruno
