Hi everyone,
I have completed my B.Tech in electronics but knows nothing much other than I learned as a hobbyist. I would like to study SMPS designs. Can you people suggest me some Books, ebooks that would let me do this. I am a novice and would like to start from FET and Inductor level. any suggestions would be great.

MOD: Remember to only suggest books and not any links or uploads here.

Hi,
You should go through "Power Supply Cookbook" by Marty Brown, and other books written by Raymon Mack Jnr, Ron Lenk, Abraham Pressman and Keith Billings.

Hope this helps.
Tahmid.

You should start with a useful book from Kolkatta - "Power Electronics Demystified" by Chandra Shekhar Roy. This is very useful book for SMPS starters. Be careful, there are some mistakes regarding information and circuits there, but overall, it is a very useful book as I find.

powe electronics demystified book by c s roy is really helpful for flyback smps design. heatsinking is also well explained here.
thanks

"Switch Mode Power Supply Handbook" by Keith Billing is often held as the gold standard on SMPS. There's a second edition out but I haven't looked into it yet.

is the book on power electronics by c s roy available as free download?
