Skills to replace a fuel pum relay

As most people are familiar with, the fuel pump is a component inside the fuel tank that enables the combustion engine to run by providing pressure in the fuel lines to push gasoline to the combustion engine. The fuel pump can fail for a variety of causes, one of which is a less well-known problem with the fuel pump relay.
When the relay is out of work, do you know how to replace it and then save the mechanic fee?

There should be a bunch of relays alongside the
fuses, in a box in the engine bay. One of them is
the fuel pump relay. They may be identified by
a sticker inside the box, or you can chase info
online.

Relays just plug in.

Do relay replacement after diagnosing. The fuel circuit operation can be disabled by safety reasons, anti-theft reasons, or other implemented at vehicle manufacturing.

Some people do "diagnosis by parts swapping"
though that can be random, costly and partial-
coverage. A cheap DMM and the skill to use it
would go a long way.

That said, I've replaced several in-tank electric
fuel pumps but never a fuel pump relay. The
first thing to do is probably to pull the pump
connector and measure resistance at the
toward-tank end.
