Hi Folks.
I'm a complete beginner so please be gentle.
I'm trying to rewind a 240v, 440w, single phase induction motor. My problem is that in taking apart the windings (which were heavily varnished and fairly fried) the coils became very difficult to count so I've ended up with some discrepancies even after several counts.
Starter coils: 45, 44, 46, 45, 47, 48, 42, 41 no of turns with .35mm wire
Main Coils: 44, 66,107, 106, 107, 107, 65, 45 no of turns with .7mm wire
I'm presuming that the main coils would be bumped up to the higher number so: 45, 66,107, 107, 107, 107, 66, 45 but I'm lost regarding what to do about the starter coils. Is there a simple way to calculate no of turns?
Stator plates are 35mm thick with a hole diameter of 61mm and 24 slots.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
