Single ended forward dc-dc controller IC

Hi All,

Pls suggest a dc-dc SMPS controller IC that can operate at 9 to 36Vin. Switching frequency is 400KHz. My o/p specs is 5.1V, 1.4A

Preferaably small components count...

Major vendors, e.g. Linear, National, TI have good web tools to locate suitable parts.

I have tried SI9112 fron vishay but could not eliminate the overshoot at turn-on. Extremely difficult to stabilize the feedback too.

I just read the NS's LM5015 - cannot handle 1.4A at 9Vin due to the current threshold of the embeded MOSFET is exeeded.

I'm running out of options... Does anyone designed like this before?
