single axis linear motion

I am looking into purchasing single axis motion stage with following parameters:

Travel =>30mm
Speed 1µm/s to 10µm/s
Moving quartz slide 25x10mm that needs to be heated

Most important parameter of this system is speed to be constant so I assume that stepper motors would not be good choise.
I would like to find integrated system that is not costing arm and leg and movement is smooth.

I am trying to find one with help of google, but it would help me considerably if someone has experience in this area and help me narrow down search.
Microsope motorized stages usually include stepper motors and are likelly too expensive for application we use. Positioning accuracy is irrelevant, or absolute speed accuracy. Speed repeatability is needed to be high.

This stage is used to move substrate as film coating is applied, and film thickness consistency is important parameter.

Although building system like this might not be too difficult problem, time frame does not allow me to get into integration. Cost is needed to be kept low as well. Purchasing piezo systems for 10k+ is out of our reach. I am hoping I could purchase something up to range of 2-3k that would do this kind of job.

Thank you for any suggestions!
