I'm trying to simulate a circuit that uses a IMT40R025M2H, an N channel MOSFET with a Kelvin contact on the source pin. The SPICE model has 6 pins, standard G, D and S, as well as the Kelvin source pin, junction temperature and case temperature.

I go to File->Model Library->Add/remove libraries, select the folder with the lib and add the libraries.
Next I go to Place->From Model Library and select the model name
That opens the window where you select the category and define the symbol. Since this model is not a standard 3 terminal MOSFET I select "Auto create symbol", which shows a 6 pin model as expected.

So far so good.
But when i click OK i expect to see the symbol on the schematic view and that I'd be able to place it actually, but there's nothing. (I expect this because I tried importing a different 3 terminal MOSFET and using a standard MOSFET symbol)

What I find even stranger is that when I now go to Place->From Model Library I can't find the part I just tried to place and created the symbol for.

I'm completely lost and can't find my way around the documentation to see what I could be doing wrong.

For anyone reading this in the future, got a reply from their support.

Are you trying to use this model in a SIMetrix or a SIMPLIS schematic?
If you want to use it in SIMPLIS, then it must be modified to have three terminals. 4 and 6 terminal MOSFET models is not something SIMPLIS recognizes.
You need to place the model in a wrapper which has only 3 pins. The procedure is explained here:
