Ring, LC, or Xtal?
Sinusoidal or pulses?

he must?? Who are u speaking about? The oscillator? I think so, but it was a typo ..

Anyway..
The simplest is the Ring oscillator! (I don't know if u r going to implement or not!)
If you are going to implement ... I think this is very useful link (but it depends on available discrete components you have)

you can use a 74F04 series Not gate , back to back , with any Xtal in this range
