Hi Everybody,
I'm in search of a simple package based (addressable) wired communication protocol/technology.
Specs should be as close to these as possible:
- package transmission over as few coper wires as possible (ideally it should work on 1 coper wire)
- low speed, standard 9600bps should do
- max line span should be around 200-300m
- bidirectional communication only between a master and a number of slaves hooked on the line (slaves don't need to communicate between each other)
- should not require switching devices to connect nodes
Ethernet meets most of these requirements, but it's way to complex and speedy for what I need. If anybody can suggest a proto/technology that would meet these requirements please let me know.
