Shock Detector

Hi

I am designing a battery operated device that should be attached to mother board.
this device should detect if it was de-attached from the mother board.

I am looking for very simple and not expensive displacement detector or shock detector and or any other type of sensors that can do this Job.

Re: Shock Detector

May be a micro-switch that presses to the motherboard? When your device is removed, the switch will be un-presses. Really cheap.

BTW, here's a good yahoo group dedicated to sensors: **broken link removed**. I'd like to invite you to mirror your question there.

Re: Shock Detector

Hi kender,

Thanks for your advice,
I already thought about this idea bu the Problem is the IP test.
My product should pass IP test so makking any slots for the switch may affect the IP test.
