My goal is to use a 12v 5 inch exhaust fan from a computer to move air in a tiny greenhouse powered by the sun and a motorcycle battery as storage. My concern is that the motorcycle battery will be damaged if I do not wire this all correctly.

My electronic skill is limited by I do know how to use a soldering iron and mulitmeter and have built a few projects like a 16 array 3W LED system for an aquarium but I honestly do not know how to read more than basic electrical diagrams...

The parts I have and I can disassemble are as follows:

2 x 2w Solar Panels

Two "solar garden LED lamps" the decorative lamps that charge two 1.2v AA batteries during the day and at night a light sensor prompts the unit to discharges to a single LED. I thought these might be useful in this project for parts and such.

An 110v Energizer recharge unit for recharging home batteries. Parts?

I have not purchased the motor-cycle battery yet. Suggestions to build this little project? I read that these batteries can be damaged if not wired correctly. I am willing to spend ~ $15 for parts + the battery. Thank you.
