Hi,

I'm building an expansion board for a Raspberry PI using the SIM928. Is it possible to use the SIM928 using a single UART to access the GSM/GPRS as well as GPS? I know it is possible with its predecessor the SIM908.

Thanks

I think the 928 has a superset of then AT commands from the sim908, and thus, it has the AT commands to read the NMEA packets by a single serial interface...

but please check that some commands are different and probably you can't make a direct change of a SIM908 with a SIM928. (I remember checking the commands for gps warm/cold reset and they were different on those modules)
