SIM900A and SIM900 FTP download failing halfway

Hi

I am facing FTP download problem from SIM900A, having FW Ver No. 1137B08SIM900B32_ST and every time FTP starts OK, but fails after 30K to 50K of data download, most of the time with timeout error showing return code as 64, even though request for reading more byte is sent immediately. It fails even with SIM900 also.

Actual file size to download is around 250K, full file download worked in very rare cases.
I tried keeping FTP packet size as 256 to 1460 but no success. Is there any timings or special steps to take care?
It is interfaced with PIC Controller that takes care RTS/CTS automatically and it is being tried on slow baud i.e. 9600 also and CPU is just doing the serial communication at this time.

Any one succeeded with FTP file download in SIM900 or SIM900A for file size more than 200K?

I believe this must be definitely a Bug with SIMCOM, as at the same time we have checked Telit GL865 using same SIM card and network and same board, that works 95% time OK, while SIMCOM fails 99.9% cases.

FW 1137B08SIM900B32_ST can not work in SIM900A as intended for SIM900B

SIM900, FW 1137B11SIM900M64_ST works well with files of BIG-BIG size

OK, Let me try with 1137B11SIM900M64_ST

Further I tested SIM900 with FW 1137B11SIM900M64_ST, it is still failing, and fails mostly with timeout error (64) as:

AT+FTPGET=2,1024

+FTPGET:2,0

OK
AT+FTPGET=2,1024

+FTPGET:2,0

OK

+FTPGET:1,64

Originally SIM900 had FW 1137B10SIM900M64_ST, and FTP fails with that also. It fails on SIMCOM FTP Server also as:
AT+FTPSERV="simcom.exavault.com"

OK

SIMCOM SIM900 & SIM900A both fails in 99% cases, while similar board if mounted with GL865 using same SIM card and same GSM Service Provider at same place, works for 99% cases

It indicates some Bug with SIMCOM or timing issue.

Can you tell how much time it takes to download 250K file?

It seems work but need to wait approx. 10 sec after each packet, that makes total time as 25+ minutes
