Sim900 SIM Card question ?

Can I use SIM900 without SIM card for init code ?

Does it support 3G ?

Yes, Sim900 does support 3G band. And you can use SIM900 without sim card to get started. You can start with AT commands. Better go with SIM900 module. It is easy and supported with serial communication.

I can not get IMEI, any ideas ?

OK, There is something I don't know how you did that. Well if you have written "AT+GSN=?" you will get "OK". And simply "AT+GSN" followed by "0A" you would get the IMEI.
I can not tell exactly coz I don't know the codes you have written.
