Can any one help me understand why my signal is being inverted on the output of my circuit?
What I have is the following:
RS232 signal (10V level) transmitted via DB9 conector and cable. On the TX pin of the DB9 connector and cable there is a 5k ohm resistor because the transimpedance AMP (OPA 380) input is looking for current input range of -10ma to +10mA.
The output of the AMP shows the inverted version of the RS232 signal that I was generating from my source (Laptop) but at 5V which is ok.
What is not ok is why is my output signal from the amp inverted and how can I un-invert it? Can someone help me understand what is happening?
