Hello:

In a Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) link with Processing Gain (PG) of 20 dB, I need to calculate the required minimum received power (or Sensitivity) at the receiver.

My question is, if I want to use the following formula, what value should I use for bandwidth (Bw)? the bandwidth of one hop or total bandwidth of entire hops?

in other words, if he bandwidth of one hop is 1 MHz and is spread over 100 MHz (due to PG of 20 dB), should one use 1 MHz or 100 MHz for Bw in the formula bellow?

RX Sensitivity = kTBw (Noise Floor) + Noise figure + SNRmin - PG

Regards
