[PIC] Should I take these courses in PIC24?

Hello,

I would like to know if it worth to take on the following courses:

I have already some basics in PIC24 by reading Mr. Lucio Di Jasio books.

You might want to pickup a copy of Lucio Di Jasio's text:

Programming 16-Bit PIC Microcontrollers in C, Second Edition: Learning to Fly the PIC 24

Or Robert B. Reese's et al text:

Microcontrollers: From Assembly Language to C Using the PIC24 Family

Both texts have an accompanying websites, Jasio's second edition text has been updated for the use of MPLABX and XC16.

I believe you will find them a better return for your money.

the best way to learn to program is to write code

as well as reading BigDog's recommended books get a development board such as Microchip's microstick

it comes with an onbaord programmer and a header to connect to a breadboard where you can build your own circuits, e.g. switches, LEDs, motors, etc
it also has the facility to connect a FDTI TTL to USB device

so you can transmit data using a UART to a PC

Thanks for the inputs. As hardware: I have a Mikromedia PIC24EP board. I think the books from Mr. Lucio Di Jasio are good source!
