Have you considered a single chip transceiver? One manufactuer's data with a schematic can be found at:
h**p://www.metatech.com.hk/datasheet/himark/transceiver/TR5100.pdf

You could also combine a simple FM transmitter, such as one found at:
h**p://www.discovercircuits.com/R/rftrans.htm

With a simple FM reciever, such as found at:
h**p://www.discovercircuits.com/R/rec-circuits.htm

You will have to adjust the tuned circuit values for your specific frequency desires.

The application circuit for this single chip is very complex compare than two individual circuits
