I am trying to sell this. It was salvaged from a Yamaha receiver.

I was told it was a shielded power transformer. If it is not, I would appreciate knowing what it is.

**broken link removed**

It weighs in at around 9 pounds.

In the event, it can not be sold, could it be used for any other purpose other than in a receiver?

Thanks

It certainly is a shielded power transformer but probably made specially for the model of receiver. Unless you have specifications (connections, voltage and current ratings) it isn't much use for anything else.

Brian.
