Setup WiFi Network for IoT application

Hi,

This is an IoT application and I am looking for a way to connect the sensor to the cloud. Please find my hardware layout that I am trying to setup.

I have no idea how to set up a Wi-Fi network (red square - "Wi-Fi Receiver" in the above diagram). If I can figure out a way to read sensor data coming through ESP8266, I can process and send it to cloud over Ethernet.

I would appreciate if you can let me know your suggestions (even a complete new hardware configuration).
