ac signal offset -patent

Hi there, I referred to a post in 2005 on setting DC offset voltage.

I have the following problem. I am trying to offset my AC signal from (-2V to 2V) to ( 0V to 4V)

Currently I am not using op-amp to offset my AC signal. Instead, I will be using capacitor and resistors.

The frequencies that I have to read will be ranging from 0hz to 3khz.

Therefore using the formula f= 1/2*pi*R*C.

I have derived R = 4Mohm and C = 470uF. Due to the lack of items, this is the best combi i can find.

I have attached my circuit to this topic. Hope someone can help me with this. I spent a day trying to find out what happened.

Thanks guys.
