hai

is it possible to transmit serial data through telephone lines after doing required voltage level convertion?

is it create any legal problem in india?

wt is the maximum baud rate we can use

?

In Germany, you most likely would have to rent the line from a telephone company, if it's on common ground. With usual digital transmission standards, radio interference may be an issue, so the best solution, particularly for longer distances would be to use analog modems in leased line configuration, which doesn't require a dialtone or a local battery. The method could also be expected to achieve higher transmission speed, cause analog modem transmission technique can work with limited telephone line bandwith.

All 56k dialup modems do work on telephone land lines. Even many of the broadband connections use the twisted pair telephone wires to carry the data up to the service provider, but do not go through the telephone exhange.

Regarding rules, you need to contact the Department.

just try dtmf encoder and decoder ic's
connected with telephone line
call from transmitter and receive value from receiver dtmf
