serial port interfacing with VB .NET

VB.net has a activex control for serial port interface.

in VS2005 you may use Comport component for your work
 
Create an object of IO.Ports.SerialPort and use it.

First Configure settings like baudrate,stopbit...
Then open port
Send/Receive data
Close port
