What is the basic difference between sequential data access and random data access?
Does it impacts the throughput rate in case of DRAM too? If yes then how?

Thanks,
Akhil

I sequential data access, data is compulsorily accesses sequentially, i.e. even if we need only the 2k bytes at the end of a block, the entire block need to be gone thorugh.
Whereas in Random data access we can jump to a specific location and get it.

Usually sequential devices are read block by block, and random support byte ( This is not hard and fast rule).
