Optics are made personally by grinding two glass blanks, using polishing powders.
Below is a picture how was it made:



When using small polishing powders, the matrix and the mirror like to stick to each other. In order to repair it, it need to be put in boiling water.



After that operation, the mirror is covered by aluminum and a safety layer.



The tube is made of a conventional PCV sewer pipe of 200mm diameter.
Focuser and spider with the side mirror are adopted from a small 76/700 telescope. The searcher and glasses purchased at one of the portals.



Parameters:
Mirror average - 150mm
Focal – 1450mm
Max zoom – 300x

Theoretically, these parameters are ideal for observing planets. Ice caps can be easily seen on Mars, storms on Jupiter. A photo from a mobile phone of the Moon:

Here in New Mexico, we have quite a large number of DIY telescopes and amateur astronomers.
