User “zimzia” presents his first project from the unthreaded SMD elements.

This a USBasp programmer (main webpage of the programmer fischl.de - USBasp - USB programmer for Atmel AVR controllers ).

The programmer was assembled in the small casing of a SD card reader. LED diodes were replaced with one 2-color diode/ Instead of the valve, a DIP switch was used because it was a more convenient solution

The board was made in home conditions using thermal transfer. The toner was transferred with the use of a laminating device.

During assembly, a problem with a gold pin board occurred. It did not want to take tin. Maybe it was a material fault (silver color), so it was change into a golden one, which helped, but a Super Glue had to be used to make it work properly

After assembling, there was time for programming atmega. It was programmed with the use of Bascoma and Sample Electronics Programmer.
