Hello!

Didn't know which area is the best one for this... I hope it is not off-topic here:

Does anyone have a drawing or an instruction on how to build a capacitive coupling clamp for compliance tests and for EMI tests? Tests according to IEC 61000-4-4 and similar (surge and burst injection into data lines).

I don't need a calibrated equipment, it is more for qualitative tests than for quantitative measurements. A generator is available but no coupling clamp.

If you have any ideas for a do-it-yourself instructiion or a drawing or a link to an idea please let me know.

Thanks a lot!

Besides you'll need RF amplifier, and RF generator,
why dont' just go to the local test house?

Hello!

I already build that coupling clamp, and it works very well. As I already described I use it for testing purposes, and it is pretty time and money consuming when I always go to a test lab.
