Hello,

in Altium 15 I am not able to select a component on overlay layers, I must be on top or bottom, while in 14.0 version I could do it. It was very convenient, I have beel searching an option which allows me to do it in 15 as well but I did not find it. Anyone is aware of it?

Thanks!

I don't know about previous versions, but your component "exists" on either the top or bottom layer; I'm not sure why you SHOULD be able to select it on any other layer. Alltum does have the really annoying attribute where you can't select a component if it's locked, is that maybe what you're seeing?

Hi, thanks for the reply. Nope, components are not locked and, as you correctly point out, they exist only on top or bottom layers. The point is, in Altium 14.0 I was able to select them also on Silkscreen layers, which was really convenient. If there is no option to extend the existence of the component on another layer, then maybe they have removed the feature, a bad choice if I may add...
