searching µC / DSP

Hi,

i want to replace a 2406A from TI, because we had much trouble with it.
We need something with following features:

- up to 40 Mhz
- 16 ADC channels with 10-bit resolution (500ns conversion time)
- more the 40 IO-pins
- cheap

thx in advance

Revolt,
Did u try the 56800 family from Motorola? They have what you need (almost). **broken link removed**

Re: searching µC / DSP

Could you, please, explain problems? I didn't work with TI DSP's but i will.
Regards.

@neurus : thx, i'll take a look at the motorola devices

we are not sure where the problem is. we think that
it is the programming of the flash or the reset circuit.
our boards were send to TI and we wait for a answer.

The programming of the flash seems to be a big problem. In the discussion group of TI there are many threads about this topic.

regards

Try TMS320F2810/2 of TI. It has 16-channel 12-bit ADC (up to 60 ns), up to 56 gpio pins, up to 150 MHz system clock. Not sure about cheap device...

Maybe you can use a DSP from Analog Devices.

Re: searching µC / DSP

Hi,

Have you taken a look at TI's OMAP family ?? It consists of an ARM
and a TMS55xx series DSP. There is an older part, sort of OMAP, that
had a 54xx DSP and an ARM7 (I think). Go to the Ti web site

www.ti.com

and search.
