sdram precharge

I don't understand what's differcences between a Auto Refresh or refresh and a precharge or Auto preCharge ??? anyone can explain me, what's the differences ??

thanks a lot

precharge sdram

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe you must precharge a bank to open it up for reading. Refreshing is something that you must do periodically to refresh the data in SDRAM.

sdram refresh

Do you must do a precharge every read or write data ? How much time I need for a total refresh or a precharge ?

precharge refresh

or you can just read any of Micron semi's datasheets- they explain it all in great detail

what is precharge in sdram

If I read or I write without a precharge,I make a destructive operation for my data ?
