When I do the after P&R simulation in VCS , I encountered such a problem :

the SDF file generated by the PT seems cannot be back annotated correctly, the SDF file can not properly back annotated with the .v file, the simulation result is wrong ( I observed the wave file ,there is no delay at all), later i repalce the SDF file with encounter generated SDF file ,everything checked fine.

Is there any difference between the two SDF file (Format ? Usage?), if there is any, how do i use them properly in VCS ?

I hope, you use the same constraints for both the cases,
But If the tool is different, than effort and algorithm both are different....so there may be chances for some variation..can you check both SDF in terms of what is the difference there for timing calculation?

Simulation is passing without timing or not? If passing, then there is not any problem in Patterns so there after just you need to check the SDF.
If simulation are failing, the cause is due to setup/hold violation or not...So things you need to make sure that there are not any setup/hold violations during VCS simulation.

did you check the SDF default version in PT and Encounter?.
The constructs might be different in both tools.

one more quick check ,
annotate the Generated SDF in PT with netlist and check the Annotation report. If annotation fails, there is problem in Write_SDF . Need to check the options in PT.

Help me a lot, problem solved, thanks very much

did you use $sdf_annotate("name_of_sdf_file") in testbench or top DUT?

yeah , I did ,i solved the problem follow @sam536's method, but thanks anyway
